Book Club Suggestions

For everyone who has expressed an interest in starting a book club with me, let's hear some suggestions on the fist book to read.

Currently I am reading Margaret Atwood's Robber Bride, that would be a fun one to discuss I think.

Let's hear it folks!

I've wanted to read another Atwood after I read "The Handmaid's Tale." I think that would be a great book. I also liked Adrienne's suggestion of Jean Plaidy. Or perhaps the new Jodi Picoult, "Change of Heart," which comes out on March 4? Or whatever about "Pillars of the Eart?" I hear that mentioned a lot, but I've never read it. It's long, but supposedly it's a quick read.

I would love to try new authors and revisit some old ones. I have never read Margret Atwood, Jodi Picoult or Jean Plaidy. Maybe we could even challange ourselves to some classics like Catch 22 and The Count of Monty Cristo. Me personally, I love travel journals, Southern female authors, international writers like Banana Yoshimoto and food writers. Maybe we could cover it all?! :)

I'm easy. I'll read anything but "Moby Dick" because, seriously? Once was enough. OH! Also I hate Ayn Rand. But, other than that, I'll read whatever you want...and be articulate about it. ;)
