Hey Katherine!

Question for you, since you are expert in all things related to beauty products. What product can I use to make my hair look shiny that won't also make my hair feel greasy and weighed down?

I have fine hair and so I normally use a volumizing shampoo/conditioner and then volumizing mousse and blow dry, but sometimes I feel like my hair just looks kinda dull. So I would like to be able to make it look shiny and bouncy and volumonous.

Not a product expert, but I do happen to have limp hair that I color so it often looks a bit dull...

I love Biolage ColorCare Therapie Shine Mist and it smells heavenly, which is important, I think.

Totally important, who wants a product that smells like butt?

Oooh! I love product questions! Okay, the thing to remember is that volumizing products work by leaving build-up on your roots. Short term, this makes your hair fuller. Long term, the build-up increases and actually makes your hair flatter. I know; it's a crap shoot. I recommend alternating your volumizing shampoo/conditioner with gentle ones like Neutrogena Anti-Residue shampoo. (It doesn't smell good, but it doesn't linger after you rinse.) I'm also loving my current shampoo, Dove Energy.

As for shine sprays, I read a recent review of Tresemme Smooth No Frizz European Shine Spray, and I want to try this. (It's super cheap!) It's harding finding shine sprays that don't make fine hair greasy.

I have a review book of hair care products at home. I'd be happy to look up more products to try if you want. Just let me know!

One thing I noticed made a *huge* difference in my hair was using a round brush and blow drying my hair in sections. My hair looked much shinier, felt smoother, and had more volume. It does take more time and can be hot (esp. in summer), but to me, it's worth it.

Hey.. I use this stuff I got at Sally's called "Beyond The Zone" it is a flat iron protection spray.. but I use it before I blow dry my hair .. you only use a tiny amount or it will turn out greasy.. but it makes it light and fluffy and shiny!!! It's in an orange bottle with a purple spray lid.
